About Us
Interconnect IT was originally known as Speed Publications Limited. We were one of the first online publishing companies, entering the web market in 1996. However, the internet was still a budding and very geeky market at the time and profitability was hard to find. With the ERP market booming, and our corporate background, it seemed better to work with corporates on their internal systems. We knew the web was the future, we just wanted the market to mature a little first. So although our name was wrong, we knew what we wanted.
Ten years later, we were ready to resume our interest in the web. In the meantime we’d been busy working on the corporate infrastructure of organisations like Toyota, Unilever, Oxfam, BUPA and the French Ministry of Finance.
But big organisations can be quite slow moving in the online world, and we wanted to work with the latest and best technology there is. So it became time to look at a new direction for our small business.
Interconnect IT became our new name, and with David Coveney and James Whitehead at the helm we’ve successfully built up this new branch to our business and within one year have started to accumulate a wide range of new clients. We also have great people on board, like our illustrator Jonathan Reilly who’s worked on the graphics for some of the world’s most successful games, or Jon Paul who’s just finished his International MBA and is no doubt destined for great things.
