Our Credo
Stating a company credo may seem self-indulgent at times.
But let’s not forget, it’s easy for a company to lose sight of why it exists.
To this end, we’ve taken the step of publishing our credo online.
You
We are responsible firstly to you, our customer, the people who use our products, and the individuals who deal with us.
We need to make sure that you’re always delighted to work with us, and if not, to discover why and to make you delighted once more.
We will be a stable and long-lived company that you can rely on to be here far into the future should you need us - our products may last a long time - we must ensure that our company does also.
We must always work to your ultimate benefit - a customer that in the long run doesn’t benefit from our services won’t be our customer for ever.
Our Suppliers
We are responsible to our suppliers without whom we couldn’t function.
Our suppliers have every right to make a fair profit, and we must not attempt to pressure them into losses.
Our suppliers deserve to be paid promptly and we must not use our position to extend payment dates over what might be considered reasonable.
Where we profit from the supply of open license products we will pass on a portion of our profit to the original creators.
Our Employees
We are responsible to our employees, who create the products we sell.
Our employees deserve to be fairly rewarded for their work.
Achievement must be recognised and encouraged.
Independent thought must be promoted.
Our employees should feel like they are part of the company and that the company is loyal to them.
Ourselves
Finally, we are responsible to ourselves.
We must ensure we can make enough profit to re-invest in the growth of our business.
We should always strive to be the very best, regardless of rivals and regardless of whether we already are the best - it’s always possible to improve.
Our credo will, we are sure, grow as we grow.
