Thanks for the theme fellas. It's my favourite so far and I'll be sure to (attempt!) to fiddle with the CSS so that that it looks at least a little different to the default.

It's been a while since I've fiddled with any code but I'll give it a go. This is a great starting point - I really appreciate the effort to create it.

Cheers!

That is a great looking theme. Supprot is a bit on the expesive side - but then again who ever needs support? :)

Nice one, will be giving it some mileage!

Hi, er, Drowssap...

I think your best bet is to try the Anvil theme out on a test site installed on your home PC. The Navigation widget is an extra widget that is bundled with the theme which allows you a lot more control of the navigation element of your site - you can change the title of your Categories, Static Page Navigation and Links areas. You can also show whether you want to show the link to RSS, Hide Categories, Archives, Links and so on, and whether you want your links to show as categorised or not. In other words, it's quite sophisticated - we'll add this to the theme description soon.

If you get in touch with us through our contact page we can quote for custom work. We can definitely create code that will filter categories out, but it will only work either as the widget described above, or for themes that accept widgets for the navigation elements of the site.

i am looking at setting up a directory with wordpress.
the website listed seems like what i am looking 4.
does it implement some sort of category visibility code?
http://ryowebsite.com/wp-plugins/category-visibility/ does not support the newer 2.3.* wp ... anybody know how to achieve this?
Features of Anvil
 2. Navigation widget, giving options over and above the standard WordPress navigation

what does this mean?
THx,

The theme may be heavy for some with very busy shared hosting, but a version of it serves up to 10,000 visitors per day at http://www.sniffpetrol.com quite cheerfully without using up too many resources.

The amount of bandwidth a theme uses should always be a consideration.

The following link gives some ideas on improving performance on busy sites:

Thanks Ben!

Good point - setting up a preview system would be nice, especially once we have more themes up and running. But in the meantime, you can see the theme in active use, completely unmodified (but not for long!) at http://www.davesgonemental.com

Anybody using the theme should let us know - it's like our first child :o)
