Your Website and Code Should Belong to You!
One of the less salubrious elements of the online world is that of where ownership lies. Many sites offer free or very cheap domain registration – this is fine, but they actually maintain ownership of that domain. When you come to transfer this domain elsewhere you find yourself landed with a hefty administration fee or charge in order to take full ownership. The same often applies to websites – the initial charges are kept low in order to ‘lock-in’ the client. You pay 50GBP for a site, and then when you want to make a change, transfer the site to another management company, or even remove the site you will find yourself faced with often enormous charges and poor responses.
We work differently
We create and manage your websites and systems. However, by using open-source software, without licensing lock-ins, we make sure that you can always have your site hosted and managed by another company. Of course, we’d rather you didn’t leave us, and at the time of writing this, nobody has! But if, for whatever reason, that were to happen - then we would ensure that your site continues to function regardless of who your web company is.
